I, Dan Solari am a 2003 graduate from the meteorology program at Plymouth State. I hope to gain employment as a meteorologist in the New England region.
My fascination with the weather began when Hurricane Gloria barged through my hometown of Lebanon, CT in September 1985. As a four-year old, I was absolutely astonished by the power and beauty of hurricane-force winds. Since then, I have witnessed many incredible weather events. These include the Blizzard of '93, the '95-'96 record breaking Winter for snowfall in Connecticut, and, of course... the coolest snowstorm of my life that dumped over 2 feet of snow on Plymouth, NH on the night of February 5, 2001. I don't think many from the PSC campus will ever forget the latter. I know I never will and I'm glad I was there to see it.
I hope this tutorial on the layers of the atmosphere was been both educational and enjoyable. If you have any questions, please email me at weathermandan@hotmail.com.
