About the Author:

My name is Derek W. Brown, I am a graduate from the Bachelor of Science-Meteorology Program here at Plymouth State College.  I was born and raised in New Hampshire where the mountains and unique natural setting has been very inspirational and motivational for me in my quest to understand the weather and natural phenomena.  At this moment in my life, I am about to be married to my soulmate, Rebecca Perloff of Plymouth, NH.  I will then begin the hunt for a job as I enter the "real world".

My interests include hiking (especially the 4000 footers of New Hampshire), snowboarding, storm watching, reading, learning, teaching, spending time with family, eating, and spending money that I don't really have :-)

I sincerely hope that you have enjoyed my web-tutorial, and moreover, I hope that you have learned atleast a little more about precipitation that you may have taken for granted.  This project was suggested by my Professor, and I thoroughly enjoyed creating it and especially all of the graphics using the simple but versatile Microsoft Paint Program.  Our atmosphere is comprised of wonderfully active and incredibly exciting phenomena and it should be appreciated.
